This course examines philosophical questions concerning human nature, personhood, and the practice of medicine. Topics include human dignity, the relationship between persons and their bodies, sociability, friendship, work, suffering, and death. The course explores the anthropological foundations of medical practice and encourages students to reflect on the ethical and existential dimensions of caring for human beings.
