Semester 2, 2022 — 1 section
Psychology Foundation Program (Bachillerato de Psicología)

Building on Philosophical Anthropology I, this course examines the philosophical dimensions of human personhood, freedom, and social life. Beginning with the capacities of sensory and intellectual cognition, affectivity, and volition, the course investigates the nature of human freedom and the relationship between human nature and moral action. It then considers the concept of personhood, the philosophical foundations of human dignity, and the significance of embodiment. The final part of the course explores the social dimensions of human existence, including friendship, the common good, and work, before turning to questions concerning religion and human transcendence. Throughout, students engage with these themes primarily through the classical philosophical tradition.
